The streamer has consistently invested heavily in their feature films, ranging from $60 million (Okja) to $200 million (The Gray Man), keeping in line with their major studio counterparts.

Recently, the Netflix posted a massive loss of more than 200,000 subscribers in Q1 of 2022, which is said to be the result of a number of factors, including the slowing down of the pandemic, the war between Russia and Ukraine, inflation in the U.S., and competition from other services like HBO Max, Prime Video, and Disney+. Despite the subscriber loss and massive stock drop, Netflix still remains the number one streaming service, retaining a subscriber base of more than 220 million.
