    In recent weeks, Andreas Christensen came very close to signing a new four-year deal at Chelsea, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

    However, the Denmark international 'decided to stall' contract renewal talks with the Blues after learning about Barcelona's interest in his signature.

    The defender ended up changing his agent and the conversation about his new deal at Stamford Bridge is now back to square one as 'everything has to start again'.

    Chelsea are now facing the prospect of losing both Christensen and Antonio Rudiger at the end of the 2021/22 campaign with both center-backs set to become free agents in June.#football #sportsNews
