Chelsea players who have not been called up to their national teams have been given a week off during the international break, Thomas Tuchel has confirmed.
"Looking at the fixtures in December and January, it's a lot," the boss said, as quoted by Chelsea's official website.
"The Club World Cup is coming and national break travels so we decided here, also for the staff, to give one week off completely.
"It’s to give everybody the chance to recover, also mentally, and to recharge the batteries because December and January will be tough, no more breaks, and we want to push the team to the limit and that's why we use the time now."
Chelsea will have fixtures coming up every three or four days until the beginning of January.
The Blues will have to play five games in just two weeks after returning from the international break, with Leicester, Juventus, United, Watford and West Ham the opposition.#sportsNews
