Q&A Time! Tell us the best advice you have ever received in your music career ❤
Hi there,
Happy Friday!!!
Hope everyone has had an amazing week!~
Before we get started, let us congratulate the following boombuddies, all of your shares and stories inspired us! Especially the words: "Just be yourself and do not let those excessive pressure smother you to be someone. In this field of hustle, it's much better to be you than living someone else's life. -- From Folitse Denis Sedem". It makes me remember a sentence that I saw before "No one is you and that is your power."

His very first word's was...... 1. Know your goals : It sounds too obvious, but is it? You may know that you want to "make it" in the music industry, but what exactly does making it look like? Focus on short-term goals first. If you're a musician who has never played a show before, maybe getting an opening slot at a local show within the next three months is your first objective. If you would like to start a label, choosing a name and doing the paperwork required to start a business within the next six weeks is a good first step. 2. Get out there in person : Life cannot be conducted from behind a keyboard. Music industry success can have a whole lot to do with who you know, and the people who can help you aren't going to come over and ring your doorbell. Get out there in person and get to know some people who can open some doors for you. Don't be afraid to take chances and don't be afraid of getting shot down. So that's what i can tell you.>

The best advice i received is, "Good market sells itself " If your music is good, people will look for you. Just concentrate on getting better at it and be you, don't do afro because everybody is doing afro. Sing you. If it's blues voice God has blessed u with, do it. Have your own style. Everybody doesn't have to like your music and that's perfectly ok and normal. Do not be afraid to express yourself. Some are singers, some are performers, all na talent. If you haven't performed on stages yet, don't worry, it's not a big deal, it's not gonna stop your music streaming on platforms if you're good" Boomplay, it's really high time you guys added some more emojis in your collection. Come on.

1.Be optimistic at every turn 2. Observe excellence and be excellent at your craft. 3. To be creative at generating incomes 4.Learn how to produce your own music:Let’s face it, the days of needing big recording studios is long gone. I have been constantly given this advice from the beginning and the result is always the same. Those who learn how to produce their own music have a much higher chance at success. Not only that,it also makes you well versed at your craft but it makes you highly authentic with your sound. But if you are serious and passionate about your music, this will be an amazing experience for you. Make it work for you! Your recorded music is your calling card to your artistry, so start producing now.
