One of the biggest artists of recent times DaBaby will be missing out on a major bag. He is losing money from some reckless and offensive comments he made at Rolling Loud.
In less than two months after his clothing line was announced with fashion retailer boohooman, the company has revealed that they have cancelled the collection and will no longer be working with the rapper.
The rapper had co-created a 100-piece limited edition summer collection featuring track suits, T-shirts and more.
DaBaby made controversial remarks about HIV and AIDS during his set at Rolling Loud. "If you didn't show up today with HIV, AIDS or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases that'll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up. Fellas, if you aint sucking d*** in the parking lot put your cellphone lighter up" he said.
The fashion house put out a statement, "BoohooMan condemn the use of homophobic language and confirm we will no longer be working with DaBaby. Diversity and inclusion are part of boohoo Groups DNA and we pride ourselves in representing the diverse customers we serve across the globe."
The statement went on, "we stand by and support the LGBTQ+ community, and do not tolerate hate speech or discrimination in any form." DaBaby's comments received backlash from fans on social media and goes on to do so.
