The 2020 Summer Olympic Games kick off tomorrow 23rd July till 8th August amidst speculation of cancellation due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
The Olympic will feature 33 sports at 339 events across 42 venues. The paralympics will feature 22 sports at 539 events across 21 venues.
International athletes and support staff are being tested before and arrival in Japan. They are kept in Team bubbles and tested daily. Some athletes and teams have been ruled out already after testing positive for Covid-19.
There are no spectators at the Olympics after the government declared a state of emergency in Tokyo. The IOC says the games can go ahead safe with strict social distancing rules.
Some of the games we expect to have some heat include Rugby sevens, basketball, athletics, boxing, football and tennis.
