Tyson Fury's third heavyweight title bout with American star Deontay Wilder has been postponed yet again. The new date is set to October 9, 2021.
The English Champ Fury, who is considered pound-for-pound best heavyweight in the world tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this month along several members of his camp.
The gypsy King was already in the US and was set for the fight at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The fight still goes down at the same venue on the new dates.
Wilder and Fury fought to a thrilling draw back in December 2018. Fury was good with his hands out performing Wilder, but the American brought out his power punches knocking Fury down twice.
The rematch in February 2020 saw Fury trounce Wilder knocking him down twice. Fury pulled up his contract and exercised the rematch clause. A judge ruled in Wilder's favour and now we are waiting on the trilogy fight.
The heavyweights rap sheet are insane. Fury (30-0-1, 21KOs) and Wilder (42-1-1, 41KOs). The fight was set for July 24 but now fans have to wait till October 9th.
