#BuzzScreenReview: Steamy Sexy Realities of Relationships on Netflix's Sex/Life

DISCLAIMER! Like the name already suggests, Sex/Life is the R in rated movies, filled with actual intimate scenes, it may not be suitable for persons of particular age groups. Got your attention? Well good. As much Sex/Life is filled with steamy sex scenes with the perfect ambience, and lighting to drive the feeling home, plus sexy bodied actors and the camera guys working those angles, it is realistic and touches on issues that affect so many marriages as the world stands.

It stars a married couple (Billie and Cooper) with two kids, whose marriage is in trouble after Billie, the wife like many in relationships discovers that getting married to a well off descent husband and having kids is not enough. More is needed to keep the fire burning.

Billie is caught between the beautiful fairy family life she has and her past consisting of her rich hot bad boy ex-boyfriend who she cannot get off her mind, she misses everything he did to her and on her and the whole of her wants it all back.

She yarns for him every single day thanks to her husband, always busy making money and sustaining the family completely ignoring their intimacy.

She wants him and does not want to lose what she holds. What to do? She decides on a journal. Recapping every single moment she shared with Brad, the ex from, the steamy exclusive graphic details, every bit of it to how it all made her feel.

The satisfaction. That's not all. The husband gets a hold of the journal, reads it uses it as a wake-up call and even follows it like a manul trying to give her that feeling. Too late? Maybe...What's his plan? Another woman?

The hot bad boy ex-boyfriend who is currently sleeping with Billie's best friend Shasha wants Billie back. He misses her and would stop at nothing to get her back because he knows he screwed up big time and lost what he terms as 'his one'. And, he can tell she is not happy. Hell has no fury like an ex that just realized he passed on the 'one'.

Honestly, I started watching this exclusively for the steamy sex scenes but got hooked to the storyline and watched the entire season in one go. This series explores a topic that is usually considered taboo, married women's desires. Netflix already has a lot of other series which shows married women finding passion in another guy. But this one feels like a more realistic depiction of it. An apologetic woman who knows what she wants.

For centuries movies have shown men commit adultery and, the storyline involves them "evolving" into better men and forgiving wives. Desires of mothers with kids expected to breastfeed, take care of kids 24*7 and be treated just as "mother of my kids" by their husbands.

I agree with the fact that a woman doesn't have to be a showpiece at the same time, should be desired and given some attention by their husbands many years into the marriage past the honeymoon stage. My take, this is a thought-provoking series if you look at it with the right mindset. It is way more than sex and, you would love it.
