History Made As Kendrick Lamar's 'Good Kid M.A.A.D City' Spends 8 Years On Charts

It is another incredible milestone for Hiphop's Royalty Kendrick Lamar.

The Compton native who last put out a project 'Good Kid M.A.A.D City' over 8 years ago has gone into the history books once again. Chart Data reported that the album has spent 8 years on the Billboard 200 chart.


This critically acclaimed album stands as the longest charting Hiphop album in Billboard's history after being released in 2012. This discretion was reached after 400 weeks on the chart.


The project debuted at No.2 on Billboard's 200 and earned Kendrick a Grammy Nomination at the 2014 Grammys for Album Of The Year.


The tape was released through Top Dawg Entertainment in which Kendrick is signed to. The production boasts a laundry list of dope producers including Dr. Dre, Just Blaze, Pharrell Williams ans Hit-boy.


Some of the hard-hitting singles on the tape include 'The Recipe', 'Swimming Pools (Drank)', 'Poetic Justice' and 'B*tch Don't Kill My Vibe'.
