Jupiter's Legacy Cancelled After One Season By Netflix
Jupiter's Legacy is coming to an end of sorts over at Netflix, as the streamer has released the cast from their contracts and will develop a new show.
Netflix has released the cast of Jupiter's Legacy from their contracts as it moves forward with another project set within the show's universe. As Netflix's first series to emerge from their acquisition of Mark Millar's comics empire, Jupiter's Legacy debuted in May on a wave of eager anticipation. The series centred on the Utopian (Josh Duhamel) and his superpowered family. While flashing back to the Utopian's early days with his team the Union of Justice, Jupiter's Legacy also dealt with the opposing mindsets of the newer generation of heroes.
Jupiter's Legacy season 1 ended with quite the cliffhanger, leaving the door wide open for the story to continue in season 2. Though Netflix had been quiet about the show's prospects in recent weeks, Millar's deal with Netflix and his eagerness to adapt his comics for the streamer seemed to indicate more would be on the way. However, it now looks like Netflix isn't pursuing Utopian's story any further.
