Kenya

On the morning of September the 26th, Gengetone fans woke up to shocking news that Rekles, one of Ethic’s iconic singers, had taken the exit route. Soon enough, new reports suggested that because of this exit, the entire group had disbanded and gone solo. The public grew even more speculative when the thought about Rekles’ recent trend; the rapper has been making music exclusive of his mates and has even done solo collabos with huge artists in the country. He has appeared in Willis Raburu’s ‘Bazu’ as well as Bahati’s ‘Wanani Remix’. His solo single, ‘Deep Down’, dropped not much more than a fortnight ago.
All this while, the crew as well their management remained mum. People were convinced that it was true and news started to spread like hotcakes. However, management finally responded after a fan DM’d them asking if the news was true. Their reply, to the relief of many, was simply, “Naaah, Rumors tu”. It was this new development that got the internet buzzing again, this time, with people reacting to the news. While some were immensely relieved, others thought that he didn’t need the group anyway.
For those that feared that one of the biggest bands in Kenyan music today might not come out the other side of the pandemic, here is the confirmation that there is nothing to worry about.#EthicEntertainment #Rekles #gengetone
