Big Sean Regrets Making Hit Song “IDFWU” And Here’s Why

Big Sean, 32, has expressed his regrets over the making of his famous hit song, “I Don’t F- With You”, saying that if he had known that Naya Rivera would die so tragically then he wouldn’t have sung it. The two had been dating for about a year and were set to get married when Big Sean called off the engagement back in 2014, dubbing it a “difficult decision” at the time. The smash hit would drop conveniently after this whole saga, and fans did not need any second guesses.

"That’s a tough question to answer because I’m still processing a lot of that," Sean said when asked if he regrets the track, which features E-40. "I don’t feel comfortable talking about it because I want to respect her." He went on to say that it pains him that the song was linked to her, especially now that she lost her life so agonizingly. "She’s made such an impact on people, and she’s done so many great things in her life and her career that it was hurtful to even have that [song] be associated with her," he said. Sean actually added that he had even played the song to her and she liked it; that, in fact, it” wasn’t a diss to her”.

Naya’s body was discovered on July 13th after a tedious search was conducted around Lake Piru in Ventura County, California, where she and her son Josey had gone for a swim. It is strongly believed that she saved her son’s life by pushing him onto a boat but she was unsuccessful in trying to save herself. Sean paid tribute to his ex in an emotional post, saying that he was still “grieving and in shock”. “I’m praying for you and your family and I know your watching over them and protecting them. Rest In Peace Naya,” Sean wrote.
