Happy Birthday To The King Of Pop – Michael Jackson Would Have Been 62 Today

It is 11 years since the world lost one of the most iconic figures in the entertainment industry, Michael Jackson. Known largely as the ultimate King of Pop, he pooled unfathomable crowds to his always sold-out shows and sold over 80 million units, ranking him in the top 10 best selling music artists of all time. His life was cut short back in 2009 when he suffered a cardiac arrest at his LA mansion. His family went on social media to wish him a happy birthday.

Janet Jackson, his baby sister, simply but sentimentally wrote, “I miss you big bro” on her Instagram page with a kiss emoji at the end to spice it up. LaToya did one better with a photo of Michael’s that rolled back the years. On the caption, she wrote, “A Big Happy Birthday To The Greatest Entertainer Of All Times”. His brother, Tito, also sent his wishes: “Happy Birthday MJ,” read his post.

One of his daughters, Paris, who followed in his father’s musical footsteps, also sent her wishes. She has opened up about her father in ‘Unfiltered: Paris Jackson and Gabriel Glenn’ and the many pressures she has had to endure in a bid to carve a path of her own.

Her manager weighed in on the issues surrounding her life at the moment. “Paris has these duties to her family’s legacy but I feel like that doesn’t really deter her from going out on her own and creating her own legacy,” he said, later adding: “Her father’s legacy is undeniable, and she will always respect that and honor that but that will never be just who she is. She’s far beyond the princess of the Jackson family.”
Michael's birthday was yesterday 29th August.
