Creator and panel judge of the world famous America’s Got Talent, Simon Cowell, has been the central piece that identifies the show for what it truly is. For the many years that he has been a judge on the program, it has grown to be among the most watched TV show in the States and has received awards such as the People’s Choice Award for Favourite Competition TV Show as well as Kids’ Choice Award for Favourite TV Judges. The show is simply fantastic, and Simon has been a vital cog driving it to that conclusion.
However, recent unfortunate events may render a great vacancy, hence a twist in the show as we know it. Simon was involved in an accident at his home in Malibu when he was trying out his new electric bike. The 60-year-old fell off the new machine and broke his back in several places, prompting immediate surgery that lasted 6 hours and included a metallic brace being fitted into his spine. Fortunately, the operation was a success and Simon is recovering well. He has expressed his gratitude to the medics that attended to him.
“If you buy an electric trail bike, read the manual before you ride it for the first time,” he tweeted on Sunday. “And a massive thank you to all the nurses and doctors. Some of the nicest people I have ever met. Stay safe everyone. Simon.” His colleague judges, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara, have shared their warm wishes on social media. Vergara wrote, “We miss our boss!! Come back fast @simonconwell.” Her counterpart, Klum, said, “Wishing you a speedy recovery @simonconwell.”
We at Boomplay wish him a quick recovery so that his salty comments can be reintroduced into the spicy platter that is America’s Got Talent.
