Brace yourself for a new scintillating voice and sound. Nixon has been taking it all in and now he’s ready to venture with a progressive and brave sound that is a confluence of Afrobeat and Afro-fusion served with tons of soul. He samples influences from Central Africa, Ivory Coast and the greater West African region fused with a distinct Zimbabwean feel blended with South African beats. His first single Apahauna Cash talks about people who wish for money. He says it was inspired by his upbringing and the places and people he saw. He had fun recording the project and says there are a few surprises, some romance and dance. He has worked with the likes of Kwesta, the popular South African rapper. He maintains the pan-African slant with tracks such as Who We Are which shines the spotlight on the lives of Africans in the present day, the challenges they face and the opportunity to take Africa further.
