nothing like being a lion of your self and lion in the jungle
When your black friends say "Black lives matter", they're not saying ONLY black lives matter or that white lives doesn't matter. It's also a cry for help, pointing to the profound perils they face. Next time you hear that slogan echo on your streets or digital avenues, pause & think before you respond. To say back to them "All lives matter" is almost like saying to women who are raped "Men are raped too". While your assertion may be true, it diminishes the attention being put on the disproportionate dangers they face & is a mockery of their cry for help. We know it is true that ALL lives matter. But truth spoken without compassion is cruelty.
