Josep Pedrerol, the main presenter of El Chiringuito TV and a known pro-Real Madrid journalist, decided to start his show on Wednesday by making fun of Xavi and his new iron rules at Barcelona.
The presenter gave away his phone to one of the assistants saying: "Take away my phone. Or else Xavi will punish me. Take it, thanks!"
Here's the clip of that.
"Some of Xavi's rules are a bit ridiculous. They seem like they're intended for kids," Pedrerol says at a later point.
It triggered an avalanche of reactions from the Barca fans, so much so that Pedrerol became one of the trading topics in Spain on Twitter. Here are some of the best responses to his trolling.
brayitan_fcb: "Guardiola's Barcelona also had rules, we already know how that ended."
sayderino: "When it's Xavi, they are making fun. When Ancelotti does it, what I'm seeing is 'personality, leadership, iron hand.'"
ALEXCHARRIS77: "You made 200 episodes saying that 'Barca's players do what they want.' Xavi tries to make order in the dressing room and now it's: 'Xavi is a sergeant, poor players.'"
xMartinSalazar: "If the Madridistas are mocking, criticizing and so on, that means that choosing Xavi was right, you just need to be patient and watch football with a team that is clearly in transition. He who laughs last..."#sportsNews
