Wakadinali are the latest recipients of a plaque from Boomplay. The Kenyan Hip Hop group that consists of Scar, Munga Domani and Sewersydaa was awarded a plaque for hitting over 1 million streams thanks to their latest album 'Victims of Madness'.
The 15-track project dropped on 28 November 2020 and has appearances from Tray C Mukami, Dyana Cods, Boutross, Breeder LW, Abbas, Elisha Elai and Sir Bwoy.
Wakadinali are currently running the streets and have the most loyal fanbase in the country. This is also shown in their streaming numbers on Boomplay as they now boast of over 3.5 million in accumulated streams.
On getting their plaque, the group promised to release more quality music and thanked fans for helping them achieve the latest streaming milestones on Boomplay.
"Our first album 'Ndani ya Cockpit 1 was Boom bap, our second body of work 'Ndani ya Cockpit 2' was trap and 'Victims of Madness' was drill. This shows we are versatile and can do it all. Fans should expect more surprises from us going forward" said Munga.
"We say a Big thank you to everyone who has been supporting our music all these years. We are nobody without you" he added.
The group has also promised to work with other artistes as long as they vibe and share the same vision.
"Collaborations depend on people's vibe. We can do great collaborations if we vibe just like we did with 'Avoid Those People'. We have to deal with Egos and all that and so for us, we just have to vibe before we work with you" said Sewesydaa.
Members of the group have dropped a couple of singles this year with their latest joint project being 'Umoroto' and is also available on Boomplay.
